Feast Your Eyes

Good morning readers!

As a lover of graphic design (with no skill whatsoever) I had to share this company with you. Rifle Paper Co. is based out of Winter Park, FL and led by an adorable, stylish couple - Anna and Nathan Bond. (I enjoy following Anna on Instagram @annariflebond)

I first learned about this company from one of my favorite style bloggers Taylor Sterling (founder of the Glitter Guide). She used some of Rifle Paper Co's prints in the nursery for her daughter and they are perfect.  Read that feature here.

Please enjoy some of my favorite pieces and check out their website at www.riflepaperco.com to order your own.

(how cute are these for a powder room?)

What a great eye and whimsical style they have, huh?

Have a good one friends!

XOXO, Andrea

Whiteout

Merry ones!

'Tis the night before Christmas and all I want to do is sit and stare at my twinkling Christmas tree with knitting in hand, but gifts must be wrapped and we have places to go and people to see!

The tunes.

Then I switched to Mariah.  Sorry, Bon Iver.

The gifts. Wrapping paper & tags from Marshalls, burlap ribbon & twine from A.C. Moore.

The shoes. H&M
(My neighbor gave me this tree last week for no reason.  Basically she is awesome.)

The chains (this is a watch band from Target on clearance)

The shades. Also Target.

The full look.

Have a wonderful Chrismas Eve one and all!  xoxo, Andrea

Sunny Side Up

It's Saturday friends!

Today I met up with some girlfriends for brunch, and ate some amazing monkey bread and eggs.  Something about brunch inspired me to wear this cardigan - one of my favorites.  If you're ever feeling down, wear yellow.  It will help, I promise.

My neighbor Steve owns a salon in Hummelstown called 128 1/2 and makes his own line of hair products.  They are incredible!

This fruity DKNY perfume is perfect for a sunny day spent with girlfriends.

We recently did some renovations to our laundry room, which was originally a garage that the previous owner turned into a finished room.  Unfortunately his version of finished meant bright orange carpets, dark wood paneling, and converting gutters into flourescent lights. We ripped the carpet and painted everything in sight white.  I have many more ideas for the room, but this cozy corner is the start of a great new space.

Merry

Happy Sunday dearests,

Winter is just another excuse to wear hats.

Lately, I have been inspired by 70's fashion.  Bell-bottom jeans, wide brim hats, and platforms can really give a nice silhouette.  The 70's aren't terribly "in" right now in the world of fashion - but I like old things and I don't discriminate against decades.  Keeping the color pallet neutral adds a modern twist.

I wanted to share with you some amzing chairs that my friend meg found at a yard sale.  We borrowed them for our Mad Men Christmas party and i think they are a great vintage style!  Don't miss out on furniture like this - you could find something just as great in your own neighborhood like Meg did!

Have a nice end to your weekend, everyone!

December Snow

The first snowfall of winter is here and it's too gorgeous for me to handle.  I'm pretty sure all bloggers have dashed outside as soon as they could today to capture this backdrop of white!

lipstick - pur crayon in "desired" - ulta
beanie - target

boots - urban outfitters (clearance for $20)
black velvet jeans - old navy
sweater - f21

coat - francesca's $6

The story here is that I purchased this coat in Atlantic City in July.  Obviously the general public is not thinking "I need a winter coat" at this time, but the store needed to sell last season's coats in time to start displaying their fall items.  The trick to winter coats is to buy in the summer when you don't feel like it.  This coat was probably selling for $40 last winter.

Nail polish from 5 below's fresh paint brand in "spruce street"

Enjoy the weather, girls! xoxo, Andrea

For the Home

Good morning beauties,

Here are a few of my favorite things for the home.  Some can be thrifted or DIY'd and others are very specific.

Who can resist a foxy shower curtain?

This tray is designed by Nate Berkus and makes a simple, lovely statement.

This chair design works lovely indoors or outdoors and comes in a variety of colors.

Cloches are lovely on a mantle, dining room table, coffee table, or bookshelf.  They can be styled for Christmas but how lovely are the spring flowers?

One of my favorite stores in the area offers salvaged window frames.  They typically run from $10 to $40 and they have a great variety to choose from.

I have these scattered throughout my home and they add the perfect cozy touch to a seat or floor.

This poster comes in a variety of colors and adds a touch of irony to your wall.  It's not very guy-friendly but great for a dressing room or "woman cave" of any sort.

Antlers are in.  Anyone in your family a hunter? If so, score them for free and style them yourself.  You can do a wreath around them for Chrismas.

Lemon trees add color and scent to any room - a small version for the kitchen counter is a more affordable option as well.

If you find an oar at a second-hand store or yard sale, invest! Makes a shabby-chic curtain rod or decoration on a wall.  Easy to paint as well!

Plates make a great wall decoration.  Thrift them in a color scheme and use plate mounts from a craft store for an unexpected mural.

Use a small ladder as an interesting side table alternative.  This could easily be thrifted or salvaged from an auction or yard sale.

Cuckoo clocks look fantastic painted and clustered like this, don't they? Don't overlook them if you spot one for a good price.

Industrial stools add the perfect completion to a rustic look.  This design can be found at a number of stores.

What are some of your favorite pieces for the home? We would love to hear from you!

Stand Out

Morning Beautiful Readers,

If you want a great, stand-out look, try a pair of saddle shoes.  One of my favorite singers is Janelle Monae and she has brought these back like nobody's business.  She deserves a full post one of these days...

Here is my version of this look, which I made a bit more feminine thanks to a cute little bow headband from Wet Seal ($5)

My butt looks strange here haha but it made me laugh so had to include that last one for your entertainment!

Also, I wanted to share my favorite everyday perfume with you - Burberry Brit.  It's classic and preppy for everyday and guys love it too.
